Yep, that’s really the name…but, you’ll just have to get past it because the food is EVERYTHING!!!

After 32 years of NOT eating eggs and hoping to starve before ingesting one, in 2013 oddly, I just developed this affinity for them. It’s like I would be sitting up and craving fried egg sandwiches. Now, I’m always thinking about new and improved ways to get my egg fix on!

One day while perusing Instagram, I spotted a thing of beauty. I was the most breathtaking egg sandwich I had ever seen. I had to have it. So, while on my multi-city vacay in Cali (San Diego, LA, and Palm Springs) I told my crew, yes it’s 4th of July weekend but I’m going to Egg Slut with or without you…Of course they tagged along

For someone reason on July 5th, not a soul happened to be eating left-over BBQ but instead, they were all in my way in the form of a mile long line.

Egg Slut LineFrom the recon I did (yes, I take food research VERY seriously) I knew it was a small booth located in Grand Central Market but, who knew everyone, their mother, father and brother would be there…We still waited. We ordered and luckily enough a spot opened up right in front so we could sit and eat.

I ordered the “Fairfax”,  which is scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun, plus I added avocado. I swear I can’t dance or hold a beat to save my life but, it was so good I wanted to stand up on the counter and bust a move. A body roll was definitely in order!!!

So basically, if you love eggs or even if you don’t, still make your way over. You’ll be converted STAT! The staff is really cool and accommodating and the place gives you a retro hip hop vibe.

As usual, if you stop by, tell them I sent you!
