So, going to Martha’s Vineyard, I knew I’d be swimming in fresh seafood. However, I don’t think I knew the full on epicosity of it all.

The first night, we cooked at the house. We did a welcome BBQ on the outside deck that was fully equipped with Rum Punch courtesy of our beloved Shaki.

But after that, no one was trying to cook a thing. We let our inner gastronomes run-a-muck around the island. Again, being on the Vineyard, seafood was the common theme for almost every meal. Here’s what we ate:

The first stop on our foodie adventure was, the Quarter Deck. It’s a nice little spot in town, on the water. There is no dining room or seating area, so, basically, you order and then you cop a squat along the pier. It’s small, moderately priced and the menu is limited to mostly seafood, although, they do serve burgers and homemade corndogs.

For a more upscale experience, this is the place. The only drawback is, that it is ALWAYS crowded, reservations are a must. They have a vast menu but, since it’s the “Chowder Company”, you have to try the clam chowder. It’s full of clams that taste as if they were just extracted from the sea. You won’t be disappointed!

Where the Vineyards local artisans come and sell their goods. I got some of the best chocolate, almond dusted bark and homemade jams EVER. We were also informed by our driver, that Khen’s Eggrolls were the reigning champs on the island when it came to veggie spring rolls.

This was the creme de la creme of our trip. I don’t know if you can tell by the pics but this eatery was very pedestrian, meaning, no glitz or glamour. You order your food and while there are a few outside seats, because of the amount of patrons, chances are, you probably won’t get one. But the food is so awesome sauce, you won’t even care. You’ll be happy to find a spot for you and your entourage on the concrete, cover it with a piece of cardboard and go IN!!!

On the last night of our trip we practically had lobster coming out of our ears. We decided to do something a little different. We found a cute little coffee shop-slash-kitchen, that was sort of reminiscent of Californian cuisine. The food and service were both exceptional.
